Huawei Plans to Begin Producing Smartphones in India

Huawei plans to make Smartphones to be sold in the India market at its facility located in Chennai, India, according to an August 13, 2012 report by ZDNet. The Chennai facility has been used to manufacture networking equipment. It is reported that Huawei aims to expand its business reach to over 200 Indian cities through 20,000 stores in three years. Currently, Huawei's products can be found in 35 cities in India with 2,500 stores throughout the country.
